About the Company:

On behalf of our client, we're seeking an exceptional Sales Director to join a venture-backed cybersecurity startup tackling one of the most urgent emerging threats in the AI era. As organisations rapidly adopt AI agents and non-human identities, securing and managing them has become one of the defining security challenges of our time.

Their agentic AI platform gives security teams complete visibility, automated risk detection, and confident remediation across every identity in their environment - human and non-human -without disrupting the business. They're early stage, well-backed, and gaining serious traction.

About the Role:

This is a founding sales leadership hire. You'll own revenue growth across the US market, build and shape the go-to-market motion, and work directly alongside the founders to define how the company sells. It's a rare opportunity for someone who wants to lead from the front - carrying a bag while building the function around them.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive revenue growth across the US market, leading the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
• Build and develop a high-performing sales team as the company scales, hiring and coaching the next generation of AEs.
• Work directly with founders and leadership to define GTM strategy, refine ICP, and shape the sales playbook.
• Build trusted relationships with CISOs, identity and access leaders, and senior security stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to drive pipeline and retention.
• Bring market intelligence and customer insights back into the business to influence product direction and positioning.
• Establish the processes, frameworks, and culture of a world-class sales organisation from the ground up.

What We're Looking For:

• A proven track record of leading and closing cybersecurity deals - you have the numbers to back it up.
• Experience selling AI security, identity security, or agentic AI tooling is a strong bonus.
• You've built or scaled a sales function at an early-stage startup before and know what it takes to operate without infrastructure.
• Equally comfortable carrying a bag and building a team - this is a player-coach role.
• You build genuine relationships with senior security buyers and know how to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Builder mentality - you're energised by ambiguity, thrive on ownership, and see early-stage as an opportunity, not a risk.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator who can work with founders, product teams, and marketing to sharpen the GTM motion.
