Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Italian Market (Copenhagen-based) Who is Understory? About the Role As our SDR for Italy, you’ll focus on the Italian market, generating qualified leads and building relationships with potential customers for our Account Executives. You’ll contribute directly to revenue growth in Italy, provide insights on local market dynamics, and support the sales team in refining outreach strategies. You’ll research and connect with experience providers – from tours and classes to events and local activities – and turn conversations into booked meetings. You’ll provide feedback to product and marketing teams and help optimize our processes for the Italian market. What You'll Do Identify and research potential customers (experience providers, venues, activity operators) in Italy. Reach out via calls, email and LinkedIn to introduce Understory’s value. Qualify leads and schedule meetings for AEs. Maintain accurate lead & prospect data in CRM; track progress and report insights. Share learnings about the Italian market - local trends, competitor activity, cultural preferences. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and support growth. What We’re Looking For Fluency in Italian + English (written & spoken). Strong communication and outreach skills; proactive and organized. Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt pitches to the Italian market. Passion for experiences, travel, and the “experience economy.” Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment. Nice to have: Network in tourism/travel/event industries in Italy. Familiarity with experience-booking platforms, hospitality, or SaaS. Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Guava, Gong).
