We’ve earned industry recognition including a pre-production grant from the Italian Government / Veneto Film Commission for our original screenplay The Weight of the Air, selection into the Quebec English Language Production Council’s prestigious Mentorship Program for our crime/legal drama series Oden’s Law, and other awards supporting our growth.

Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Sales Agent at Kenshō Pictures. The Sales Agent will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with buyers, distributors, platforms, and partners for the company’s film and TV projects. Daily tasks include prospecting new leads, conducting outreach via email, calls, and virtual meetings, presenting project slates, and negotiating deal terms in collaboration with Leadership.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Help package our IP and attach talent, directors, producers, and investors.

• Secure financing, pre-sales and/or option agreements.

• Represent us at key markets (AFM, Cannes, Berlin, TIFF, among many others).

• Negotiate distribution deals across territories and platforms.

This is a performance-driven partnership — above-market commission on sales + meaningful backend points + equity participation in the projects + equity in the company. No upfront salary, but significant upside for the right person who believes in the material and wants to build something special with us.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and effective presentation abilities.
• Proven Sales experience, preferably in film, media, entertainment, or related industries, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of film markets and international distribution is highly valued.
• Previous experience in entertainment sales, distribution, or acquisitions is preferred, but candidates with transferable sales experience are encouraged to apply.
