Description Serves as the operations, systems, and compliance liaison for Ocean Marine and Builders Risk Risk Engineering to improve and streamline business processes, resolve issues, and support adherence to internal standards, regulatory requirements, and client service expectations. Maintains risk engineering workflow and documentation systems, including templates, system updates, and coordination of report and recommendation changes. Job Responsibilities: Maintain risk engineering systems and workflows, verifying report language, timely updates, and resolution of system issues. Analyze and reconcile risk engineering data received from surveyors, engineers, underwriters, and external service providers with information contained in company systems. Work with risk engineers, underwriting, and program/business partners to ensure corrections and data integrity. Coordinate with Finance and other internal partners to reconcile outstanding receivables, payables, and project-related billing issues as needed. Work with other departments to coordinate interdepartmental activities to ensure that Ocean Marine and Builders Risk operations meet customer expectations and internal process standards. Lead problem resolution as needed to ensure internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies. Provide recommendations for process improvement, workflow enhancements, and documentation standards. Consult on business issues and risk engineering system design considerations, including report templates, policy/supporting documentation, and workflow automation. Work with department leaders to develop communication plans and related activities. Communicate with internal and external customers regarding project status, including vendors, business partners, surveyors, and Information Technology. Keep ahead of changes in marine, construction, and risk engineering practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards; develop own competency accordingly. Compile and manage a library of internal and external relevant data, enabling its use in risk engineering analysis Perform special projects as requested. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience Professional liability underwriting experience preferred Extensive knowledge of underwriting, business operations as well as business process and information flow General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills Strong oral and written communication skills
