Role Description This full-time Remote Billing, Payroll & TMS Specialist role is a hybrid position based in the Mohali Punjab, with a mix of on-site work and work-from-home flexibility. The specialist will manage end-to-end billing processes, including generating, reviewing, and issuing client invoices, and ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining customer billing records, coordinating with operations and dispatch teams for load and delivery details, and resolving billing discrepancies or disputes. The role will also support payroll activities by collecting and verifying driver and staff time, mileage, and trip data, preparing payroll reports, and coordinating with accounting or HR for payments. In addition, the specialist will work within the Transportation Management System (TMS) to update load information, track status, ensure data accuracy, and produce reports for management. Regular communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams is required to clarify charges, address questions, and uphold a high level of service. Qualifications Strong billing operations skills, including Billing Process and Client Billing, with attention to accuracy and timeliness. Strong English proficiency to communicate to drivers and vendors via email, text and phone. Hands-on experience with Invoicing, including creating, reviewing, and reconciling invoices in a digital or TMS/ERP environment. Foundational Accounting knowledge to understand ledgers, payment applications, and basic financial reporting. Effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, drivers, and clients, and to resolve billing or payroll issues professionally. Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or logistics software, and comfort working with spreadsheets and billing platforms. Prior experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation billing and payroll is preferred. Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple deadlines, and a high level of integrity when handling financial and payroll data. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
