About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Designer with an architectural or engineering background to prepare accurate shop and construction drawings. (Part time) Key Responsibilities Produce detailed shop drawings and construction documents from supplied site measurements, photos, design plans, and fireplace system manuals. Verify drawings reflect provided site conditions; identify and flag discrepancies or missing information. Ensure all drawings comply with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards. Maintain and organize records of drawings, revisions, and related project materials. Coordinate remotely with project managers, fabricators, vendors, and contractors to clarify details and ensure accuracy. Deliver accurate, timely documentation to meet project schedules. Perform other reasonable duties as required. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Architecture, Drafting, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Proven experience producing detailed shop drawings and construction documents. Proficiency with Revit required. Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Strong understanding of construction terminology, fabrication processes, local building codes (Ontario Building Code), and manufacturer specifications. Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work independently. Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace.
