As Talk continues to grow, we are expanding our presence in the Greater Wellington region and are looking for an Area Manager to lead our Primary and Secondary Schools division. You will need to be Wellington-based to support local schools and teachers through regular visits, relationship-building, and business development.

About the Role
Teacher Recruitment & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and teachers across the Greater Wellington region
- Support schools with quality relief teachers and long-term staffing solutions
- Recruit, interview, and onboard teachers for relief and permanent opportunities
- Communicate daily with schools and candidates
- Deliver exceptional customer service and support
Book & Fill Coordination
- Morning coordination from home (approximately 6:00am – 10:00am)
- Matching available teachers with daily relief opportunities
- Managing urgent staffing requests from schools
- Flexible daytime hours to support bookings, recruitment, and client visits
- Work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
Business Development
- Visit schools throughout the Greater Wellington region
- Build relationships with Principals, Deputy Principals, and school leadership teams
- Conduct outreach and introduce schools to Talk Education's services
- Grow an existing client base while developing new partnerships
- Create long-term recruitment opportunities across Primary and Secondary education

About You
You are:
- Ambitious, motivated, and self-driven
- Passionate about education and supporting schools
- An experienced educator, school leader, or someone with a strong understanding of the education sector
- Well-connected within the Wellington education community (advantageous)
- Confident in communicating with teachers and school leadership teams
- Skilled at building relationships and providing exceptional customer care
- Comfortable with business development and networking
- Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems
- Organised and able to work independently
- Resilient, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Hold a current driver's licence and are comfortable travelling throughout the Greater Wellington region
- Living in New Zealand with the legal right to work
