Movement Labs is an incubator and consulting firm that uses technology, data, and experimentation to stop fascism and build progressive power. We help progressives win and defeat MAGA extremists through year-round work grounded in research and real-world testing. Our team partners with leading advocacy groups, grassroots organizers, and electoral campaigns to develop innovative tactics, win elections, and shift power for the long term. As the R&D powerhouse for the progressive movement, we’ve run over 100 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on voter behavior and helped hundreds of organizations increase their impact. We work hard, and the environment evolves rapidly. We are adaptable, nimble, and shift quickly as needed to meet the moment. We are looking for candidates that thrive in this type of environment. This role is fully remote. This is a temporary hire for the 2026 election cycle that will run from ASAP to November 15, 2026 . Role Overview: Movement Labs is seeking a detail-oriented, systems-minded QC Manager to serve as the integrity backbone of our 2026 Neighborhood Captains program. This is a new and critical role — you will be responsible for designing, managing, and continuously improving the quality control infrastructure that ensures every captain interaction is real, meaningful, and accurately recorded. As QC Manager, you will work closely with the Neighborhood Captains Program Team and the research team to catch data anomalies, verify reported voter contacts, and translate findings into actionable coaching and retraining. Your work directly protects program fidelity, reassures funders, and preserves the integrity of our randomized controlled trial. Responsibilities Data monitoring & anomaly detection Monitor captain outreach data in real time, flagging volume anomalies such as unrealistic door or call rates, suspicious GPS patterns, or timestamps inconsistent with legitimate outreach. Identify patterns that may indicate data entry errors, training gaps, or intentional misreporting — including implausibly high contact rates, identical interaction notes across voters, or data entered outside of plausible outreach windows. Maintain and refine a living set of QC flags and thresholds in collaboration with the Program Manager and research team. Voter verification & follow-up Conduct follow-up outreach to 5-10% of all reported voter contacts to verify that interactions occurred and assess their quality — via phone, text, or email. Design and execute follow-up scripts that feel natural to voters (eg. resource delivery, captain check-ins, thank-you messages) while systematically surfacing discrepancies. Escalate serious flags immediately to the Program Manager and relevant Organizer. Coordinate with the research team to ensure QC follow-up protocols do not interfere with the program's RCT. Plant network management Recruit and manage a network of plants — trusted individuals embedded in captain turfs who can report on whether outreach attempts occurred and assess their quality. Debrief plants regularly and integrate their feedback into the broader QC picture. Organizer partnership & coaching support Translate QC findings into clear, actionable feedback for Organizers to use in captain coaching and retraining. Distinguish between data entry coaching needs, training comprehension gaps, and more serious integrity concerns requiring escalation. Participate in regular program-wide check-ins to share regional trends and systemic findings.
