This role calls for a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to lead a team of testers in shaping the future of quality assurance within our organisation. You will be responsible for co-defining a comprehensive testing strategy that covers all levels above unit and integration testing, selecting the best tooling to support this strategy, and taking ownership of the test plan development and execution within your team. Discounted gym membership. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and mentor a team of software quality assurance testers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Drive the move to automation within the team. Spearhead the adoption of test automation within your team, increasing coverage and efficiency while maintaining testing rigor Play an instrumental role as an individual contributor, participating in test planning, execution, and complex problem-solving alongside your team Collaborate with your fellow QA Lead to define and refine comprehensive testing strategies covering functional, performance, security, and accessibility testing Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to integrate quality practices throughout the development lifecycle Own test planning and execution for your team, ensuring thorough coverage and timely delivery Champion quality metrics and reporting, providing visibility into product health and testing effectiveness Lead the adoption of AI-driven test automation, leveraging Playwright CLI for scalable end-to-end test coverage. Integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines using the Azure DevOps MCP server, enabling intelligent test orchestration. Champion the use of GitHub Copilot across the QA team to accelerate test script authoring, code review, and documentation. Design, build, and maintain custom AI skills and agents that extend the team’s automation capabilities and reduce manual effort. What We Are Looking For: Extensive experience and a proven track record of success in software quality assurance across multiple projects and environments Experience with AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub, Copilot, and familiarity with agentic and MCP-based automation frameworks Proven track record leading or mentoring QA teams, with demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing, with hands-on experience in modern automation frameworks including Playwright, Cypress, or similar Experience designing and implementing test strategies for complex, large-scale software system Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience integrating automated testing into delivery pipelines Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with ability to influence and build relationships across technical and non-technical teams Pragmatic problem-solver who balances quality with delivery timelines and business priorities Bonus: Experience in healthcare/regulated industries Location : Remote (UK Based Only) Whilst our team operates remotely, we maintain a cohesive and friendly work environment through constant use of Teams chat and video meetings.
