We would like to meet a QA Test Manager for a remote project based in Portugal. Requirements: +5 years of experience in Quality Assurance. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong experience in software testing with proven responsibility for test management or test lead roles . Hands on experience with Playwright . Demonstrated ability to write automated test cases and build automation frameworks. Hands on experience with API testing , manual and automation, with Postman, Rest Assured , KarateDSL or similar. Experience with test management tools such as Azure Test Plans , Jira, Xray or similar. Experience in defining and executing test strategies in complex delivery environments. Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes across manual and automated testing. Experience in performance testing and security testing . Experience managing test cycles , defect management processes and stakeholder communication. Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring or managing QA team members. Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage competing priorities. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to collaborate with both technical and non technical stakeholders. Excellent communication skills in English , both written and spoken. Responsibilities: Hands-on lead the definition and execution of the overall testing strategy across projects, ensuring alignment with delivery goals and quality standards. Own test planning, including scope definition, estimation, resource allocation, and scheduling of testing activities. Design, document, and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases across functional, integration, and end to end testing. Coordinate and oversee the execution of manual and automated test activities, ensuring full coverage and traceability to requirements. Manage and execute the automation test process for both API and WEB, including coverage, reporting, and release strategy. Write and maintain automated test. cases to ensure robust test coverage and efficient regression testing. Manage defect lifecycle, including triage, prioritisation, and reporting to stakeholders. Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is embedded across the software development lifecycle. Ensure appropriate test environments and test data management practices are defined and maintained. Provide leadership and guidance to QA engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement. Mentor and manage QA team members to build capability and drive quality excellence across the organization. Establish and report on quality metrics, test progress, and risks to both operational and financial stakeholders. Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and governance to increase efficiency and predictability. Hands on testing, automated and manual when needed.
