Background: We are looking for a QA Manual Engineer to join the Risk Management product team. The Project Risk product vision is to support the Bank's operational teams by providing digital solutions that enable effective risk identification, assessment and monitoring throughout the Bank's operations and project lifecycle. In this role, the QA Engineer will collaborate closely with Product Leads, Business Analysts, Tech Leads and Developers to ensure the quality, accuracy and reliability of Project Risk capabilities from a functional and business perspective. This position plays a key role in ensuring that the Project Risk platform delivers consistent, trustworthy and fit-for-purpose results, supporting informed decision-making, governance and compliance within the Bank's operational processes. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Product Lead, Tech Lead and developers as part of a product team or as a cross-team contributor, ensuring a shared understanding of requirements and acceptance criteria. Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to define test scenarios, test cases and test plans aligned with business rules. Execute manual testing activities including: Functional testing Smoke testing Regression testing Exploratory testing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Validate end-to-end business flows from the user and business perspective, ensuring alignment with expected outcomes. Identify, document, track and retest defects, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Keep work tracking tools up to date with the status of assigned tasks, test cases, defects and stories. Review and validate acceptance criteria before development and testing phases. Collaborate with the product team to continuously improve quality standards, testing processes and best practices. Document QA results, test evidence, test scenarios and QA guidelines. Provide feedback on usability, consistency and potential business gaps observed during testing. Collaborate with other QA engineers to enforce QA standards and contribute to shared testing knowledge. Languages: You are proficient in Spanish (English, as a second language, is highly desirable). Tech skills: Manual Testing: Proven experience executing manual test cases for web applications and APIs. Test Design: Ability to create test scenarios, test cases, checklists and exploratory testing charters based on requirements and user stories. Defect Management: Experience reporting and tracking defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. API Testing (Manual): Experience validating APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger (manual execution, no automation required). Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear QA documentation, including test cases, test results and evidence. Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of: Client-server architecture HTTP methods and status codes RESTful APIs Basic authentication concepts (OAuth2, tokens, headers) Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams, participating in ceremonies such as refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives. Required Experience: Experience working on enterprise or business-critical applications, where data accuracy, compliance or risk mitigation are key concerns. Experience collaborating in distributed or multi-country teams, working across different time zones. Previous experience participating in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders or end users. Experience testing systems with complex business rules, decision logic or scoring methodologies. Experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira to manage test cases, testing activities and defect tracking. Experience performing exploratory testing and proposing improvements beyond documented requirements. Basic exposure to automation concepts or tools, with the ability to work alongside QA Automation Engineers (without being responsible for automation). Experience documenting test evidence and results for audits, compliance or formal reporting. Experience working on projects following Agile, iterative or incremental delivery models, with frequent releases.
