Purview Implementation Engineer

Company – Our client is a specialized cybersecurity consulting firm focused on data security, governance, and compliance solutions for enterprise organizations. They partner with customers in highly regulated industries to implement modern Microsoft security technologies and help organizations balance strong data protection with operational usability.

Job Title - Purview Implementation Engineer

Location - Remote

Role Type - Contract (~6 months)

Must Have Skills:

• Hands-on Microsoft Purview implementation experience, specifically designing and deploying DLP and sensitivity labeling solutions
• Strong experience translating business and compliance requirements into technical security controls and governance policies
• Enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 deployment experience across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams
• Deep understanding of DLP and labeling strategy, including rollout planning, tuning, exception handling, and balancing security with business impact
• Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to work directly with legal, compliance, security, and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Lead implementation activities following completion of customer gap assessments
• Design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), sensitivity labeling, and Information Protection
• Support data lifecycle management, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and audit capabilities initiatives
• Conduct customer workshops to gather technical and compliance requirements
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable Purview architecture and governance policies
• Work directly with customer stakeholders across IT, legal, compliance, and security teams
• Support deployments within Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD environments
• Develop implementation documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures
• Provide guidance on rollout strategy, policy tuning, and exception management to minimize business disruption
• Manage and support multiple concurrent customer implementation engagements
• Assist with deployment activities, testing, troubleshooting, and post-implementation optimization
• Stay current on Microsoft Purview capabilities and emerging data governance best practices
