Job description Job Summary: The Purchasing Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role involves supplier management, negotiation, purchase order processing, and monitoring deliveries to support smooth business operations Key Responsibilities: Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, selecting, and evaluating suppliers. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and favorable agreements. Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and requirements. Follow up on orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and resolve any delays or discrepancies. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify new vendors to enhance procurement efficiency. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock availability. Analyze purchasing data and market trends to support cost control and budgeting efforts. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement or purchasing operations. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. Good understanding of procurement processes and inventory management. Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems is an advantage. .
