About The Role
The Publicist will be responsible for securing high-quality media placements, thought leadership opportunities, and speaking engagements for the firm's leadership team.
This role requires someone who understands boutique, relationship-driven public relations and can successfully position executives as industry experts within the higher education space.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute public relations strategies aligned to business objectives
Identify and secure media opportunities, interviews, podcasts, and speaking engagements
Build relationships with journalists, editors, publication owners, and industry influencers
Secure guest articles, op-eds, and thought leadership placements
Develop media pitches and outreach campaigns
Monitor industry news and identify timely opportunities for commentary
Coordinate with content and marketing teams to maximize campaign impact
Track media coverage and measure PR performance
Support executive visibility and personal branding initiatives
Required Qualification & Skills
4+ years of public relations, media relations, or communications experience
Demonstrated success securing earned media placements
Strong network of media and publication relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop compelling story angles and media pitches
Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities
Experience working independently in a remote environment
