About The Role We're looking for experienced economists with a public policy background to help shape how AI understands and reasons about real-world economic issues. Your expertise will directly influence the quality of AI-generated policy analysis — making these systems more rigorous, accurate, and useful for the world. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own schedule and work at your own pace. Organization: Alignerr (Powered by Labelbox) Type: Hourly / Task-based Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Review and evaluate AI-generated responses to public policy and applied economics questions Assess the quality of economic reasoning across topics like regulation, welfare programs, fiscal policy, and market design Identify errors in logic, gaps in analysis, or misleading conclusions in AI outputs Provide structured, detailed written feedback to improve clarity, rigor, and real-world accuracy Validate AI-generated policy scenarios and recommendations against sound economic principles Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments Who You Are 3+ years of experience working or teaching in public economics, applied economics, or economic policy Strong command of policy analysis frameworks and economic tradeoffs Able to critically evaluate written economic arguments and identify weaknesses Comfortable providing detailed, constructive written feedback Self-motivated and reliable when working independently Nice to Have Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, or a related field Professional background in government, think tanks, or policy research organizations Familiarity with AI systems or content evaluation workflows Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects with top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work that makes AI smarter on issues that shape public life Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
