Product Regulatory Specialist Long-Term Opportunity | Offers Benefits | Excellent Career Growth Job Description The Product Regulatory Specialist ensures that products, packaging, and documentation comply with applicable industrial, consumer, and transportation regulations. This role manages regulatory requests, maintains accurate records and safety documentation, and supports both existing products and new product development. Responsibilities Review and approve industrial and consumer packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Manage internal and external product regulatory requests by assigning ownership, tracking progress, and updating status in a timely manner. Organize, update, and control Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documents and records to ensure current and accurate information is readily available. Validate databases and information related to Proposition 65, SVHC, REACH, and other applicable regulatory bodies and frameworks. Maintain well-organized regulatory records that enable quick retrieval of required information for internal and external audits or inquiries. Prepare documentation to support and fulfill requests associated with USMCA and related trade compliance requirements. Complete product and chemical classification for shipping hazardous and non-hazardous materials in alignment with relevant transportation regulations. Support new product development by providing regulatory guidance and ensuring compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Actively participate in initiatives to improve regulatory processes, documentation practices, and standard operating procedures. Perform additional product stewardship and compliance functions as assigned to support the broader regulatory strategy. Collaborate with a Product Regulatory Manager and a Product Regulatory Associate, taking ownership of specific accounts or regulatory processes as an individual contributor. Partner with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in a customer-facing capacity to address regulatory questions and support compliance initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, life science, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience supporting product compliance and/or regulatory affairs. Hands-on experience with regulations such as OSHA, with familiarity in EU, DOT, and IMDG requirements. Experience supporting product registrations and compliance initiatives, including TSCA, Proposition 65, and PFAS. Interest or experience working within global and international regulatory environments. Comfort working in a customer-facing role and partnering effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed information while maintaining a clear view of overall objectives. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365. Work Environment This role follows a standard Monday–Friday schedule, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with the option to start earlier (7:00 AM–4:00 PM) if preferred. The position is based at a New Hope, MN facility in a hybrid work model, with three days onsite (Tuesday–Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday). You will be part of a collaborative, fast-paced regulatory team that values transparency, engagement, and continuous learning. The environment provides exposure to a wide variety of products, regulations, and cross-functional partners, and is well-suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, structured processes, and working across teams in a professional office setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Hope, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
