Product Manager - Discovery Lead This is the role where you stop inheriting someone else's discovery process and build the one that actually works. We usually respond within three days How we work ? Ofelia Perks & Benefits The role This is the engine room of Ofelia's pivot. We are building an AI-native product and the single most important job right now is finding product-market fit and finding it fast, in months, not years. You own that search. Your focus is Ofelia Agentic only. You are deliberately hands-on and close to the engineers, not writing strategy decks from a distance, but in the field with users and in the room with the people building the product. You own the problem space: you find the problems worth solving, you prove they're real, and you frame them so the team can act with conviction. This role exists to make sure the product never stalls. When you join, things start moving. How we work - Discovery as a team Ofelia's product organization runs on complementary strengths: the Product Manager leads the search for the problems worth solving, Product Engineers bring deep technical insight, and UX/design owns usability. Discovery is not a relay race, you run it together. You lead continuous discovery: interviews and field work with users, customers and prospects. You run that discovery with engineers and UX in the room from the start — the people who build the product are your best source of solution ideas, and the team that helped uncover a problem is the team that will own solving it. You synthesize what you learn into a clear problem brief : the problem, the evidence it's real, what success looks like, how it's measured, and how it translates into a commercial path. You connect the team directly to the customers they'll test solutions with, and keep everyone anchored on the problem worth solving. This is what makes a product team empowered: engineers and designers who own the solution because they were there when the problem was found, not handed a spec from the top. You keep the team focused on the problem without dictating the answer. The day-to-day job Run continuous discovery: interviews, field work, staying close to users, customers and prospects even as the work scales. Frame problems in business-KPI terms and write sharp, decision-ready problem briefs. Recruit and nurture early-adopter / co-design customers willing to work closely with us through the build. Define how we prove progress: which experiments to run, which metrics matter, what "good" looks like, and how it connects to revenue. Run discovery and refinement side by side with Product Engineers and UX : facilitate, decide, keep momentum, without taking over the solution. Be the bridge between the market and the team: keep the customer's reality present in every product conversation. What success looks like 30 days: Full grasp of the product, the team, the current customers and the gaps. First discovery interviews run, first problem briefs in draft. 60 days: A working discovery rhythm. Early-adopter / co-design customers engaged. Clear, shared definition of what we're measuring on the path to PMF. 90 days: Discovery is a continuous engine, not a one-off. Problem briefs are flowing to Product Engineers and turning into tested solutions. Measurable signal on product-market fit. The person we're looking for Real product discovery chops. You frame problems in business terms and resist drifting toward the solution. You can run discovery with engineers and designers - refine, decide, keep the team aligned — without dictating the solution or getting derailed when they push back. (This is where most PMs fail; it's the bar for this role.) You measure: you can explain how you'd run experiments, define success metrics, and translate product progress into a commercial path. Comfortable hands-on in an early-stage, ambiguous, pivot context. You don't need an established product or a finished playbook to perform. You stay genuinely connected to the market, customers and prospects and you track what's new in AI and why it matters. Languages: French native or bilingual, English fluent. Nice to have Background in an AI startup or scale-up that launched an AI product. Customer-facing / pre-sales experience. Experience with automation, workflow or integration tools (Zapier, n8n, Celigo, iPaaS, RPA, BPM). Hiring process Designed to be fast, transparent and respectful of your time. Screening call with HR (45 min). Interview with Nicolas Chabanoles, CPTO (1h). Take-home assignment : discovery method and problem brief framing Live discovery case (1h). Final interview with CHRO (1h). Team Product Management Role Product Manager Locations France Remote status Fully Remote Yearly salary €58,000 - €65,000 Employment type Full-time
