Duration: 3 Months (Possible extension based on performance)
Compensation: Unpaid / For Experience or College Credit

About HomeHudl
HomeHudl is a PropTech startup redefining the real estate experience through dynamic matching technology. We believe finding a real estate partner should be data-driven and personality-aligned, not left to chance. We are building the tools to make this matching process seamless for home buyers, sellers, and agents alike.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Product Design Intern to take ownership of the user journeys across both our consumer and agent platforms. You'll work directly with the founders, our Frontend Interns, and our Project Manager to bridge complex backend logic and a beautiful, intuitive interface. This is a "roll-up-your-sleeves" role where your designs will have a direct impact on our product's evolution.
What You Will Do
- Figma Design & Prototyping: Build and iterate on high-fidelity interfaces and interactive prototypes that simulate our core matching engine.
- Design Systems: Standardize design systems, typography guidelines, and token structures, handing off clean specs to developers.
- UX Mapping: Map user journeys and simplify complex data into digestible UI components.
- Live UI Audits: Audit the live app daily, catching layout bugs, spacing inconsistencies, and accessibility gaps.
- AI-Assisted Design: Familiarity using Claude to generate copy variations, build design tokens, or draft functional UI specs is a big plus.
Who You Are
- Aspiring Professional: A student or recent graduate looking for high-impact experience in a tech startup.
- Figma Native: You have a solid grasp of Figma (Auto-layout, components, and prototyping are required), plus an understanding of Tailwind CSS naming/spacing conventions.
- Process-Oriented: You understand that good design starts with a problem, not just a layout.
- PST Synchronized & Flexible: You are located on the West Coast and available for our mandatory weekly sync on Thursdays from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM PST. Outside of this, we offer flexible hours.
- Visual Storyteller: You have an eye for clean typography, balanced layouts, and modern aesthetics.
The Interview Process
- Portfolio Screen: Initial review of your proof of work and design style.
- Discovery Sync: A 15-minute remote call to discuss your goals and our vision.
- Design Challenge: A short, unpaid take-home project focused on a specific HomeHudl UI problem.
- Final Review: A walkthrough of your challenge results and a discussion on remote culture fit.
