Overview The Product Department Intern will support the Product team in the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of Railbookers Group's travel products and supplier partnerships. This role provides hands-on exposure to travel product management, pricing analysis, supplier relations, contract administration, content review, and quality control processes. The intern will work closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders to ensure that products, pricing, supplier information, and customer-facing content remain accurate, competitive, and aligned with company standards. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of the travel industry while contributing to the ongoing enhancement of Railbookers Group's product portfolio. Key Responsibilities Support competitor research and market analysis to identify industry trends, product offerings, and pricing strategies. Assist with pricing reviews and comparisons to ensure products remain competitive and commercially viable. Review and update product content across internal and customer-facing platforms for accuracy and consistency. Support supplier relationship management through vendor research and outreach activities. Perform "secret shopping" exercises to evaluate competitor booking experiences, product offerings, and customer service standards Complete internal shopping and booking exercises to assess the customer journey and identify areas for improvement. Test products, services, booking flows, and website functionality to ensure quality and usability. Provide a fresh perspective on website layouts, product presentations, documentation, pricing displays, and customer communications. Conduct test bookings and verify operational processes before product launches or updates. Risk Management: Identify operational risks related to hotels, activities, and sightseeing and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Assist with supplier contract administration and documentation management. Support contract reviews, including terms, conditions, and pricing validation. Maintain supplier records and product documentation within internal systems. Help identify and investigate new supplier opportunities and partnership prospects. Collaborate with Product Managers on special projects, product audits, and quality assurance initiatives. Prepare reports, summaries, and recommendations based on research and testing findings. Qualifications Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, Travel & Tourism, Communications, Economics, or a related area of study. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to gather and interpret information from multiple sources. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and online research tools. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Effective problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience conducting research, data analysis, or competitor benchmarking projects preferred. Understanding of pricing strategies, contracts, or supplier/vendor relationships preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting preferred. Experience with AI tools, digital productivity platforms, or business intelligence software. International travel experience and an understanding of different travel products and customer preferences. Demonstrated passion for travel and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
