About The Role What if your deep expertise in cloud security could directly shape the resilience of large-scale enterprise environments? We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Architect to evaluate cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure, and GCP — identifying architectural risks, IAM vulnerabilities, and security design gaps before they become real-world problems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for senior cloud security professionals who think in systems, communicate risks with clarity, and know how to translate complex findings into actionable guidance. Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Schedule: Flexible — work on your own terms What You'll Do Assess cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP for security gaps, misconfigurations, and insecure design patterns Review IAM configurations, privilege structures, network segmentation, and resource policies for risk exposure Identify architectural flaws and provide structured, prioritized mitigation guidance Validate cloud environments against industry security frameworks and established best practices Document complex architectures and findings in clear, well-organized formats suitable for technical and non-technical audiences Support recurring assessments of cloud environments and evolving deployment patterns over time Must-Have What You Bring Deep, hands-on experience in cloud security architecture across one or more major cloud platforms Strong command of IAM models, network design principles, and cloud service security models Proven ability to document complex architectures and communicate risks in structured, actionable form Sharp eye for misconfigurations, privilege escalation paths, and long-term security design weaknesses Nice To Have Experience with multi-cloud environments, zero-trust architecture, or high-compliance regulated industries Familiarity with security frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, CSA CCM, or SOC 2 Background in penetration testing, red team operations, or cloud-native threat modeling Why This Role Work on high-impact security assessments that influence architecture decisions at scale Fully remote and async-friendly — structure your work around your life, not the other way around Freelance autonomy with meaningful, technically challenging engagements Contribute directly to stronger, safer cloud environments across large-scale organizations Potential for ongoing contract work and extended engagement as new assessments launch
