As a PrestaShop Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining eCommerce websites using the PrestaShop platform. You will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project managers to deliver smooth, secure, and conversion-optimized user experiences. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands the technical and business sides of eCommerce. You Will Be Responsible For: Store Development: Building and customizing PrestaShop themes and modules to meet project requirements. Module Integration: Installing, configuring, or developing PrestaShop modules for features like payment gateways, shipping, promotions, or third-party APIs. Performance Optimization: Ensuring websites are fast, mobile-responsive, and SEO-optimized, with clean code and minimal latency. Bug Fixing and Support: Troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and performing regular updates and maintenance. Custom Feature Development: Adding new functionality using PHP, Smarty templates, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Database Management: Handling MySQL database queries, schema changes, and ensuring secure data handling. Version Control and Deployment: Using Git for code versioning, and participating in code reviews and deployments. This Role Is For You If: You have 2–4 years of hands-on experience developing in PrestaShop. You have strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You understand the structure of PrestaShop’s core, MVC framework, and module development. You’ve developed or customized PrestaShop themes and understand responsive design. You’re comfortable debugging and optimizing high-performance eCommerce websites. You enjoy working independently on complex problems and collaborating with distributed teams. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience integrating third-party APIs (CRM, ERP, payment gateways, shipping). Familiarity with PrestaShop 8.x or migration projects from older versions. Knowledge of SEO best practices and schema markup implementation. Experience working with multilingual and multi-currency eCommerce websites.
