This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
The Construction Planner will play a key role in Gatwick's future, providing a full planning service for all assigned projects. You will manage schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities. In addition, you will provide technical support and guidance including Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure and Resource Loading. The Planner will have responsibility for smaller projects (typically up to £20m) or will support a Senior Planner on more complex projects.
Key projects include replacing boilers with all-electric, non-fossil fuel plants, transitioning to refrigerants with lower global warming potential and providing the infrastructure for our growing fleet of electric vehicles. Your role will be crucial in helping Gatwick achieve its sustainability goal of reducing emissions by 2030.
To support your journey, you'll be provided with the necessary development to ensure you can grow. London Gatwick's Construction Department comprises several programme and project teams, along with technical support functions. It is accountable for the delivery of the airport's Capital Investment Programme and strategic growth over the next 5 years, encompassing projects across the campus to deliver fit for purpose critical infrastructure.
