Role Overview We are hiring a Performance Creative Strategist to lead the paid social creative direction for the brand. This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who understands how to turn creative insights and performance data into Meta ads that actually convert, not just content that looks good. You will work closely with the founder, media buyers, editors, creators, and creative team to develop hooks, concepts, scripts, briefs, and ad angles that feel authentic to fandom culture while still performing strong direct-response ads. We are looking for someone with strong creative judgment, solid paid social instincts, and hands-on experience creating or directing Meta ad creative for DTC/e-commerce brands. You should understand what makes a Meta ad convert, from strong hooks and pacing to messaging and scroll-stopping visual direction. If you naturally notice weak hooks, tired creatives, forced messaging, or low-converting edits while scrolling social media, you’ll probably fit well here. What You’ll Be Responsible For Develop creative angles, hooks, scripts, concepts, and ad briefs for Meta campaigns Turn performance insights into actionable creative testing ideas Help build and improve our creative testing pipeline for paid social Review creative performance and identify winning patterns, fatigue, and opportunities to iterate Work with editors, creators, and UGC talent to improve ad quality and conversion performance Help shape video pacing, structure, visual hooks, messaging, and creative direction Collaborate with media buyers and the founder to improve overall ad performance Maintain a consistent creative style and brand voice across paid ads Help distinguish strong direct-response ads from weak or low-quality creative Contribute ideas for testing new formats, offers, creator styles, hooks, and concepts Provide clear and practical feedback on ads before launch What We’re Looking For 5-7 years of experience in paid social creative, with strong hands-on experience specifically in Meta Ads Experience working on paid social creative for DTC or e-commerce brands Strong understanding of Meta ad creative, direct-response marketing, and short-form video content Ability to identify strong hooks, winning angles, weak creatives, and scaling opportunities Good taste in creative, pacing, structure, and visual storytelling Strong understanding of consumer psychology and conversion-focused content Comfortable analyzing creative performance data and turning it into better creative decisions Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment Reliable, self-managed, and organized Available at least 5 days per week Big Plus If You Have Experience With Shopify brands Fashion, jewelry, beauty, lifestyle, collectibles, or fandom-based products UGC workflows and creator briefs TikTok Ads, Instagram Reels, or paid social creative systems Strong understanding of internet culture, fandom audiences, or passion-based communities. Interest in anime/manga is a major plus.
