Position Responsibilities: Essential Maintain and update payroll records in Workday Assist in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes Creating New Hire personnel files on HR Shared Drive Backup for Child Support Withholdings/Garnishment for employees Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation Generate reports requested by other departments in the company Communicate with Human Resources, General Managers, and Regional Operations Managers regarding questions Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates, Direct Deposits, garnishments, and other withholdings. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Responsible for assisting with quarterly, semi-annual, and annual state/local/federal government reporting. Assists with document gathering for annual financial audits The position will be physically located in the Atlanta office; working remotely outside of Company Directed Guidelines is not permitted. Currently, the in-office work model is hybrid, with 2 days remote and 3 days in the office. Any other duties assigned by the Payroll Manager Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education High School Diploma required Proficient Microsoft Office and Excel skills required 2 years Workday Experience preferred Minimum 2 years’ multi-state payroll experience Superior listening, written, and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively and comfortably communicate with all levels of employees, both client-facing and internal. Demonstrates strong organizational/time management skills, a team-player who can work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, flexibility, and problem- solving skills. Must be able to read, speak, understand, and write the English language High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information. Physical Demands: Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Sitting for eight (8) hour shifts. This position is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Extensive use of hands and fingers for manipulation of keyboard, answering phone calls (100% of the time). Use of computer terminal, which requires extensive eye contact with a video display terminal. Travel Demands: N/A.
