Job Title: Payroll Manager / Payroll System Administrator

CTC: Up to ₹50,000 per month

About the Role

Meraqui is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager / Payroll System Administrator to manage end-to-end payroll operations for multiple clients remotely. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in payroll processing, payroll software management, team handling, compliance, and query resolution while ensuring accuracy and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients across various industries.
• Ensure timely and accurate salary processing, reimbursements, incentives, deductions, statutory payments, and Full & Final settlements.
• Process monthly payroll activities including attendance, leave, overtime, bonus, arrears, and salary revisions.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and maintain confidential employee compensation records.

Payroll System Administration

• Manage and administer Payroll/HRMS software systems effectively.
• Configure payroll structures, salary components, tax settings, and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot payroll software-related issues and coordinate with technical teams/vendors for smooth operations.
• Maintain payroll database accuracy and system updates.

Client Payroll Handling

• Independently manage multiple client payrolls with high accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with clients for payroll inputs, validations, and approvals.
• Resolve payroll-related queries and ensure seamless client servicing.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely delivery as per SLA.

Team Management

• Handle and supervise payroll team operations.
• Allocate work, monitor productivity, and ensure smooth payroll execution.
• Train and guide team members on payroll systems, compliance, and operational processes.

Compliance & Query Resolution

• Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Labour Laws, and Payroll Regulations.
• Resolve employee and client payroll-related issues promptly.
• Handle payroll escalations and ensure closure within timelines.

MIS & Reporting

• Prepare payroll reports, salary registers, reconciliations, and MIS reports.
• Maintain accurate payroll documentation and audit records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, HR, Finance, or related field.
• 3–6+ years of experience in payroll operations and payroll administration.
• Proven experience in handling multiple client payrolls.
• Hands-on experience with Payroll Software/HRMS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of PF, ESI, TDS, Labour Compliance, and payroll regulations.
• Experience in team handling and people management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and manage deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in staffing, HR outsourcing, or payroll outsourcing industry will be preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and payroll MIS reporting.
