In this role, you'll manage approximately 20–40 virtual book clubs connecting like-minded individuals around topics like fitness, nutrition, mental health, mindfulness, and personal growth—helping to cultivate meaningful discussions and deep community connections. Starting salary is $22/hr; 26–30 hours/week. We bring the traditional book club into the 21st century by combining technology and human facilitation to create meaningful virtual communities around books so participants can join from anywhere, anytime. We serve many different organizations, including health and wellness-focused book clubs for companies, hospitals, national associations, and public libraries. Responsibilities Community Management Manage up to 40 online health and wellness book club forums globally, spanning fitness, nutrition, mental health, mindfulness, and general well-being Send regular emails, post discussion questions, recommend books for group votes, and actively participate in discussions Reply to member requests, moderate forums, and incorporate feedback to continuously improve the program Support onboarding of new community groups through marketing and launch phases Research book options and grow membership through engagement and meaningful member-to-member interactions Maintain organizational structure across all communities via a technical workflow Event Hosting Livestream Author Talk Host and Moderator: lead 6–12 annual fireside chat Q&A conversations with bestselling health and wellness authors Content Development Draft, edit, and proofread health and wellness book club discussion content for selected titles as needed Client Relationships & Internal Processes Manage client relationships to ensure each program meets the organization's objectives Meet with clients via Google Meet, Zoom, or phone to discuss program success and areas for improvement Monitor community health metrics, implement growth strategies, and report analytics to clients Provide guidance on improving existing features and act as a client advocate Requirements Bachelor's Degree (health sciences, liberal arts, and/or business preferred) Experience managing online programming OR equivalent education/experience Organized self-starter with strong task prioritization, time management, and the ability to work independently Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; keen attention to detail Ability to build rapport and collaborate across the company and with external clients Able to collect and analyze data, spot trends, and recommend tools to enhance community engagement Comfortable in a digital workspace, able to use and adapt to digital productivity tools; demonstrated capacity to produce top-quality deliverables with minimum supervision Passion for health and wellness books and connecting with people in discussions about them Do Not Apply If: You are not able to stretch yourself for new challenges.
