Part-Time 2D Game Artist & Spine Animator — Contract, Flexible Hours (Remote) About the role We're a small independent studio producing premium, visually-rich 2D content for digital entertainment. We're looking for a skilled graphic designer and animator to help bring a high-end illustrated game to life — part-time, with flexible hours that fit around your existing schedule. This is a hands-on production role: you'll take an established art direction and turn it into a polished, cohesive set of game-ready assets and animations. What you'll do Refine and unify a set of premium 2D symbols, icons, and UI elements from an existing style direction Rig and animate 2D assets in Spine (4.2) — skeletal animation, meshes, weighting, and clean exports Maintain tight visual consistency and high production value across the entire asset set Produce optimized, engine-ready exports (transparent PNGs, sprite sheets / atlases) for a real-time renderer Add polish and motion "juice" — satisfying transitions, win/feedback animation, and ambient movement Collaborate closely on direction and iterate quickly from feedback What we're looking for Proven experience as a graphic designer / 2D game artist — portfolio required Hands-on experience with Spine 4.2 specifically — skeletal rigging, mesh deformation, animation, and the export pipeline (please include a Spine reel or sample project) Strong illustration and design fundamentals, with an eye for cohesive, premium aesthetics Experience delivering mobile-optimized, engine-ready assets Self-directed and dependable working variable, project-based hours Nice to have Comfort with elevated illustrated styles (art-nouveau, celestial, mystical, or similarly premium looks) Familiarity with web/mobile game pipelines (Pixi.js, sprite atlases) Experience in casual or mobile game art Details Part-time · contract · flexible / variable hours · remote · ongoing and project-based To apply: share your portfolio, and — importantly — examples of your Spine animation work.
