Our Current Stage:

Velocity Manager is a lean, early-stage organization. Our immediate strategic roadmap is focused on two critical pillars: aggressive revenue generation and preparing the foundation for our first institutional funding rounds. We operate with a small core team and work closely with contractors. This is a hands-on environment where success depends on your ability to build the "playbook" while simultaneously driving the commercial traction required to attract investors.

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day functions while serving as a key architect for company growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role focuses on building scalable processes and maintaining the financial/operational hygiene necessary to participate in upcoming funding rounds. You will ensure that as we scale revenue, our operations remain robust, transparent, and ready for investor due diligence.

• Fundraising & Strategic Growth: Support the CEO in preparing the company for funding rounds by maintaining "investor-ready" data, including clean financial reporting, CAC/LTV metrics, and scalable operational models.
• Revenue Operations: Partner with the CEO to optimize the lead-to-cash cycle, ensuring billing accuracy and cash flow forecasting are precise to demonstrate strong commercial traction.
• Process Architecture: Develop, document, and refine SOPs across customer success, support, and product delivery to ensure the business is repeatable and scalable.
• Team & Vendor Management: Oversee virtual team performance and manage relationships with contractors and third-party vendors to keep overhead lean while maximizing output.
• Infrastructure & Delivery: Ensure reliable delivery of the SaaS platform to protect retention and minimize churn.
• Compliance & Data Hygiene: Maintain full compliance with Canadian regulations (PIPEDA, taxation, and employment standards) to ensure a "clean" legal profile for future audits.
• KPI Tracking: Identify and implement tools to track operational performance, providing the CEO with actionable recommendations and risk assessments.

• Strategic Experience: 5–8 years of experience in operations, with a proven track record in an early-stage startup environment that has successfully navigated or prepared for funding rounds.
• Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR/MRR, Churn, LTV, CAC) and experience in revenue operations or budgeting.
• Operational Excellence: Minimum 3 years in a managerial role within a SaaS or tech company, with demonstrated success managing remote or distributed teams.
• Builder Mindset: Proven ability to design and implement processes from scratch using tools like Asana, ClickUp, or CRM systems.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Canadian privacy legislation (PIPEDA) and general business compliance.
• Communication: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to translate operational data into a compelling narrative for growth.
• Bonus: Bilingual proficiency (English/French) and previous experience directly supporting a founder through seed or Series A stages.
