We’re growing our Burlington Live Speaking team and looking for warm, high-energy English teachers who love helping kids find their voice. Live Speaking (part of the Burlington group with 40+ years of trusted English language expertise) is hiring remote teachers to deliver conversational English lessons to Israeli students in grades 5-9. Students join from their school computer labs or classrooms, and you’ll teach them live on Zoom in small groups of up to 10. Here’s what makes this role different: No lesson planning: we provide all the materials and lesson content Focus on what you do best: maximizing student talking time, real communication, and building confidence Small groups: up to 10 students (occasionally 12) 45-minute lessons with a simple post-lesson rubric (dropdowns, not essays) Fully remote: teach from anywhere with a quiet space and stable setup Competitive hourly pay in the remote teaching field Meaningful impact: help Israeli kids leave every lesson feeling more confident and excited to speak English You’ll create lively, supportive, and engaging lessons that feel fun rather than stressful. The best teachers for this role know how to read the room, adapt to mixed levels with patience, and leave students feeling successful and energized. We’re looking for teachers who: Have at least 3 years of experience teaching English to kids Are native English speakers or have native-level fluency Bring high energy and know how to create a warm, bubbly classroom atmosphere on Zoom Are patient, encouraging, and skilled at building students’ speaking confidence Are comfortable with Zoom teaching tools (troubleshooting audio, using Breakout Rooms, managing virtual backgrounds) Can offer some availability between 08:00-15:00 Israel time (GMT+3), Sunday-Friday (you don’t need to be available the full window - even a few consistent hours work great) A bachelor’s degree in English, education, or a recognized teaching qualification (CELTA, TESOL, TEFL, etc.) is a strong advantage. This role is especially well-suited for qualified teachers based in South Africa, Kenya, or Zimbabwe thanks to the excellent time zone alignment. If you’re a patient, energetic teacher who enjoys creating real speaking practice and helping kids build confidence, we’d love to hear from you. How to apply: Send your CV to [email protected]
