About The Role What if your deep understanding of how attacks unfold could directly shape how AI reasons about cybersecurity threats? We're looking for experienced offensive security professionals to analyze adversarial behavior, map attack paths, and help train the next generation of AI systems to think like a skilled defender. This role is built around structured adversarial reasoning — not exploit development. You'll work with realistic attack scenarios, red team narratives, and intrusion data to help AI understand where defenses break down, how threats propagate, and what risk actually looks like in production environments. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role — no commute, no rigid schedule. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze real-world attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across modern environments Identify and classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps in realistic scenarios Review red team-style intrusion narratives and evaluate how threats move through systems Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI models Clearly articulate attack chains, business impact, and security tradeoffs in structured formats Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with strong offensive knowledge Deep understanding of how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just theory Able to think like an attacker and communicate complex attack logic clearly to a technical audience Comfortable working without explicit tool usage or exploit development — this is about reasoning, not execution Detail-oriented and systematic in how you document findings and reasoning Self-motivated and reliable when working independently Nice to Have Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or STRIDE Experience writing red team reports, threat models, or security assessments Background in incident response, threat hunting, or security architecture Prior exposure to AI tooling or data labeling workflows Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
