About The Role What if your ability to think like an adversary could directly shape how AI understands cybersecurity threats? We're looking for Offensive Security Analysts to analyze real-world attack paths, model adversary behavior, and help build the training data that powers next-generation AI security systems. This isn't about writing exploits. It's about structured adversarial reasoning — mapping how threats move through systems, where defenses break down, and how risk propagates across modern environments. If you've spent years thinking offensively and can articulate attack chains with clarity and precision, this role is built for you. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role with meaningful work at the frontier of AI development. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic, real-world system scenarios Classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps with structured, detailed reasoning Review red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for technical accuracy and completeness Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems Clearly explain attack chains, potential impact, and tradeoff decisions in written form Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments — on your own schedule Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep offensive knowledge You understand how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just in theory You can break down complex attack chains into clear, structured reasoning that non-specialists can follow Detail-oriented and systematic — you think in terms of paths, dependencies, and failure modes Strong written communicator who can document adversarial reasoning with precision Nice to Have Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or STRIDE Experience writing threat models, red team reports, or security assessments Exposure to cloud, enterprise, or OT/ICS environments Background in security research, threat intelligence, or incident response Prior experience contributing to AI or data labeling projects Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work Make a tangible impact on how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
