About The Role What if your ability to think like an adversary could directly shape how AI understands and reasons about cybersecurity threats? We're looking for offensive security professionals to analyze real-world attack paths, model adversary behavior, and help build the AI systems that will power the next generation of cyber defense. This isn't about writing exploits. It's about structured adversarial reasoning — mapping how attacks unfold, where defenses break down, and how risk moves through modern environments. Your expertise becomes the foundation that frontier AI learns from. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for security practitioners who want to do meaningful work on their own schedule. Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic, real-world system scenarios Identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps in simulated environments Review and evaluate red-team-style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and depth Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems Clearly articulate attack chains, risk propagation, and defender tradeoffs in structured formats Work independently and asynchronously — on your own schedule Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge You understand how real attacks unfold in production environments — not just in theory You can explain adversarial thinking clearly: what an attacker does, why, and what it means for defenders Detail-oriented and methodical — you spot what others miss and can document it precisely Comfortable working independently on structured, task-based assignments Nice to Have Experience with threat modeling, adversary emulation, or purple team exercises Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, or OSSTMM Background in cloud security, Active Directory environments, or network intrusion analysis Prior experience contributing to security training, documentation, or content development Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading AI research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, impactful work Apply your offensive security expertise to a domain that's genuinely shaping the future Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
