The Network Performance Monitoring Specialist work as part of a team to ensure, analyze and optimize the health and uptime of an organization network infrastructure to include WAN/ LAN and cloud. Ability to utilize tools SolarWinds and CISCO 1000 Eyes to proactively identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot latency, and manage bandwidth. This role requires expertise in Network protocols, scripting and collaboration with IT teams and Customer and Vendor representatives to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: Proactive Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor network traffic, performance, and hardware health using tools such as SolarWinds, and CISCO 1000 Eyes. Troubleshooting: Analyze packet data and flow metrics to identify the root cause of performance issues. Capacity Planning: Evaluate network utilization to forecast and support infrastructure upgrades. Dashboard Management: Create, maintain, and optimize performance dashboards and alerts for real-time monitoring. Incident Response: Detect anomalies, escalate critical issues, and work with vendors or internal teams to resolve downtime. Optimization: Apply machine learning or AI-driven insights to improve network efficiency. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Generally 2–5+ years in network administration, monitoring, or performance analysis. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, SNMP, routing, and switching.
