What We’re Looking For Trillium Health Resources has a career opening for an NC ROOTS Director of Community Engagement & Partnerships to join our team! The Director of Community Engagement & Partnerships is responsible for building, activating, and sustaining a high-performing network of community-based organizations (CBOs), local stakeholders, and community leaders to support the successful implementation of the NC ROOTS Hub. This role ensures that community voice is not only represented but operationalized into program design, implementation, and outcomes. The Director serves as the bridge between the Hub and the community—driving trust, alignment, and accountability across diverse partners. *Recruitment for this position is being conducted in anticipation of program funding approval. The position is contingent upon receipt and continuation of funding through the NC Roots effective June 1, 2026. The organization reserves the right to delay hiring, modify, or withdraw the position based on funding status. On a typical day, you might: Develop and lead a comprehensive regional community engagement strategy aligned with NC ROOTS priorities. Build and manage a robust CBO and community partner network across the region. Design mechanisms to capture and integrate community input into Regional Needs Assessment, Hub Action Plan, and ongoing program design and refinement. Work with partners to ensure effective outreach, recruitment, and retention of participants. Track partner engagement, participation, and outcomes. Facilitate alignment between community partners and healthcare providers and systems; public health agencies; and social service organizations. Must reside in North Carolina and within Region 2 of Trillium’s catchment area, which includes the following counties: Alleghany, Ashe, Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yadkin. Preferred: Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field. Supervision of two (2) or more employees. Experience working in rural communities or North Carolina regions. Experience with grant-funded or publicly funded programs. Familiarity with healthcare systems, Medicaid populations, or public health initiatives. Experience supporting CHW, doula, or community workforce models.
