About The Company
Utopia is an ultra-luxury hospitality and lifestyle brand creating a global ecosystem of properties and experiences.
We develop private villa retreats in beautiful locations around the world, each with high-end service.
Utopia also offers a wider ecosystem of leisure experiences and services available both to those staying on property and to external visitors.
Utopia designs and builds its properties in-house. Our team works across the full journey: from concept and architecture to construction, interiors, landscape, guest experience, and long-term operation. For architects and designers, this means working on properties from the ground up, with the ability to influence how each place is planned, built, and experienced. For hospitality professionals, it means joining a brand where service is personal, attentive, and built around each guest’s stay.
We’re a young, ambitious team with high standards and a hands-on approach. We value strong ideas, practical thinking, attention to detail, and people who are ready to take responsibility for their part of the work. If you’re interested in architecture, design, hospitality, or guest experience, we invite you to grow with
Utopia.
About The Role
We're looking for a skilled
MEP BIM Modeler to join our in-house design team, delivering engineering solutions across luxury villas and boutique hotels. You'll integrate MEP systems seamlessly across all stages of design development — from schematic through to tender documentation — collaborating with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and client representatives under the direction of the MEP Design Manager.
Location & Collaboration Format:
- This is a fully remote position.
- We collaborate in Central European (CET) or UK hours.
- Utopia does not provide visa sponsorship or a relocation package for this position.
Responsibilities
- Model and deliver MEP systems for luxury villas and boutique hotels across schematic design, detailed design, tender documentation, and formal submissions.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, structural engineers, and the FF&E procurement team to integrate engineering systems coherently into each project.
- Produce detailed drawings, technical documentation, and system specifications using Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 / ACC.
- Lead equipment selection and BIM integration, ensuring alignment with project requirements, sustainability goals, and local building codes.
- Contribute to value engineering discussions, balancing cost, quality, and performance without compromising design intent.
- Deliver weekly intermediate outputs independently, maintaining consistent progress and clear communication with the broader team.
Requirements
- Degree in Construction, Engineering, BIM, Digital Construction, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in a design consultancy or general contractor environment.
- Demonstrable experience on low-rise residential and hospitality projects — private villas, boutique hotels, or resorts.
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, and AutoCAD.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to coordinate effectively across disciplines.
- Professional-level English, written and spoken.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with international building codes and engineering standards across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience producing submissions for projects in Europe, Africa, or Latin America.
We Offer
- Global project exposure — contribute to luxury hospitality developments across Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
- A truly international team — collaborate across cultures, disciplines, and time zones with people bringing diverse perspectives and expertise.
- High ownership environment — we value initiative, independent thinking, and people who take responsibility for meaningful work.
- Growth opportunities — as we scale, we create new roles internally and support team members in expanding their scope and responsibilities.
- Flexible collaboration formats — depending on the role, we offer fully remote, hybrid, and on-site opportunities designed to support effective collaboration and individual productivity.
- Work on projects from concept to realization — contribute across the full architectural and engineering journey, from early design through execution.
- Cross-disciplinary collaboration — engage directly with interiors, architecture, landscape, construction, and operations teams from the earliest project stages.
