This is a full-time remote role for a Medical Interpreter. The Medical Interpreter will facilitate accurate and effective communication between medical professionals and limited English proficiency patients. Responsibilities include conducting real-time interpreting through various modalities (e.g., telephone, video remote), ensuring the correct use of medical terminology, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Proficiency in Medical Interpretation and knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience with Interpreting and Translation in a healthcare setting
- Skilled in Simultaneous Interpretation and related techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certificate or training in Medical Interpretation is preferred
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with confidentiality standards and HIPAA compliance is an asset
