Job Title: Medical Billing Healthcare Assistant Job Code: CW-CWCBL Position Type: Full-Time Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time) Salary Rate: $6–$7 per hour Key Responsibilities: Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification for patients Conduct AR follow-up on unpaid, denied, or delayed claims Review claim statuses and communicate with insurance companies regarding billing discrepancies Assist with claims follow-up, denial management, payment posting, and documentation support Coordinate with payers to resolve outstanding balances and reimbursement issues Support revenue cycle management processes to ensure timely payments and accurate billing Manage patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and calendar updates Handle email management, data entry, document organization, and general administrative tasks Assist with patient communications and front office operations Maintain accurate and organized patient and billing records Collaborate with internal teams to address operational or billing-related concerns Support additional administrative tasks as needed Assist with provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications as n Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing, insurance verification, AR follow-up, healthcare administration, or a related role Familiarity with insurance payer processes and medical billing workflows Strong written and verbal English communication skills Experience using Tebra, SimplePractice, TherapyNotes, or similar EMR/EHR systems is highly preferred Basic requirements Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly Must have relevant work experience Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory] Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed) Technical requirements Device: Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
