About the Role We are looking for a skilled Medical Biller with experience in oncology and infusion billing to join our team. This role requires deep knowledge of J-codes, drug billing units, prior authorizations, and end-to-end claims processing. If you have a strong background in specialty drug billing and denial management, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Billing & Claims Management Manage end-to-end claims processing and billing submission for oncology and infusion services Apply strong knowledge of J-codes and drug billing units (dosage calculation, wastage modifiers like JW/JZ) Ensure accurate coding and documentation for chemotherapy, biologics, and other infused/injected medications Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues efficiently Prior Authorization & Insurance Verification Handle prior authorization (PA) requests and follow-ups Perform insurance verification to confirm coverage and benefits for specialty drugs and infusion visits Understand payer policies, reimbursement rules, and medical necessity guidelines Compliance & Coordination Work within EHR/EMR and billing systems to maintain accurate records Coordinate with internal teams (providers, intake, clinical staff) to ensure documentation supports claims Communicate professionally with insurance providers to resolve denials and appeals Candidate Requirements Must-Have: Experience in medical billing, preferably in oncology or specialty clinics Strong knowledge of infusion billing, imaging, and drug billing (J-codes) Familiarity with oncology infusion billing workflows and guidelines Experience handling prior authorization (PA) and insurance verification Ability to manage end-to-end claims processing and billing submission Knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement rules, and denial management Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation Experience working with EHR/EMR and billing systems Ability to follow up on unpaid claims and resolve billing issues efficiently Good communication skills for coordination with insurance providers and internal teams Nice to Have: Experience with JW/JZ modifiers (wastage billing) Background in specialty pharmacy or drug reimbursement Why Join Us?
