About Us Map Labs is like Google Analytics for Google Maps. Our Mission is to increase trust and transparency in digital marketing. We cut through marketing jargon by measuring success with first-party data from Google Business Profile insights. These metrics directly or indirectly correlate to revenue for businesses across various industries. By improving outcomes against these metrics, we provide tangible results that our clients can feel in the real world and prevent them from investing in ineffective marketing strategies and tactics. Evan founded Map Labs because he was frustrated with the state of SEO. Before 2015, he worked at a marketing agency and was always trying to explain his SEO work to his clients so he could justify their marketing spend. He couldn't. Trying to explain Google rankings was impossible. Only Google knows how the algorithm works, and rankings fluctuate from one day to the next. One day he’d report a ranking result to a client, and the following day the client would call to say the ranking was different. How was Evan - or any SEO marketer - supposed to demonstrate value for their customers? In June 2014, Google launched "Google My Business" (the name at the time). GMB offered a different approach; they would give you hard data: how many visitors to your profile on Google Maps clicked the "Call" button; how many asked for directions; how many found your profile by typing in your company name into Google’s search engine and how many found you organically. Finally, data that mattered to a business because it had a correlation to revenue and helped our customers see the impact of marketing with Google. Job Description This is a remote position. Map Labs is looking for an awesome Marketing Coordinator to support our marketing efforts! We are seeking someone with 2+ years of experience who is passionate about marketing and open to learning in a fun, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both marketing and graphic design, assisting in developing compelling materials to drive brand awareness and engagement. Map Labs helps businesses unlock the revenue potential of Google Maps marketing. We built a platform so businesses can profitably acquire new customers through Google Business Profiles. We sell our platform as software-as-a-service and provide strategic marketing advice on Google Business Profiles and Ads. We base our advice on our experience, industry knowledge, and insights from our data. We’re a customer-funded startup. We’re growing and need your help. Our staff work around the world. This contract role is based remotely. Requirements What You’ll Do You will help execute our marketing strategy here at Map Labs. Your role will involve a little bit of everything, as there are a wide variety of projects we work on. We are looking for someone comfortable managing several projects at once, who is ready to learn and add value where needed. We have a strong content marketing program running, and will need help with copywriting, content creation (blogs, industry reports), creating marketing materials (company deck, one-pagers, pamphlets, graphics, etc.), social media marketing, and more. Key Responsibilities Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns Design & Content Creation: Develop and design marketing materials (e.g., social media, industry reports, infographics, blogs, etc) with Adobe Suite Social Media: Manage and design content/copy for social media platforms Event Support: Help coordinate event materials and logistics for trade shows, webinars, and other marketing activities Analytics & Reporting: Track performance and provide insights for improvement (on website, social media, free trials, etc.) Anything else we need to do!
