Reporting to: Market Data and Analytics Sr. Manager
Location: Argentina, Remote (GMT-3 time zones desirable)
Compensation: Competitive, according to experience
We are seeking a Market Data and Analytics Sr. Associate to join our dynamic, rapidly growing, and innovative organisation.
RELP is an impact-driven, independent nonprofit organisation that aims to facilitate the cheaper and faster deployment of renewable energy in emerging and developing countries. We aspire to increase reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy, thereby mitigating climate change. Our MISSION is to accelerate the transition to clean energy by unlocking renewable energy markets to scalable private investments at lower prices, promoting sustainable economic development for the people.
We are very proud of our prominent Board of Advisors, which includes well-known personalities from the global renewable energy, climate, and business sectors. They are: Michael Liebreich, Rachel Kyte, Rebecca Collyer, Angelina Galiteva, David Rogers, Daniel Magallón, Charles Bai, and Felix Zhang as part of our team and board.
We are funded by philanthropic organisations, including the Rockefeller Foundation, Quadrature Climate Foundation, Ballmer Group, European Climate Foundation, Packard Foundation, IKEA Foundation, Oak Foundation, Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet, and Good Energies Foundation through Climate Breakthrough.
The Market Data and Analytics Sr Associate will gather, organise, analyse, and validate technical and economic/financial data for both renewable and non-renewable energy sources, with a focus on understanding the energy matrix's past, present, and future trajectory across the Caribbean, Africa, and South-East Asia. Alongside this analytical work and as an integral part of the role, the candidate will assist on a set of operational responsibilities, supporting the Senior Manager in managing priorities and deliverables, and reviewing work produced by other team members.
The Market Data and Analytics team is fully cross-functional at RELP — its work underpins decisions across all internal teams and interacts directly with senior leadership. The Sr Associate will therefore need to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and manage the flow of information and requests accordingly.
You will succeed in this role if you bring strong analytical capabilities alongside the ability to interpret complex technical, economic, and legal documents; understand the full context of the projects and information under analysis; manage shifting priorities with autonomy and rigour; and add value to tasks quickly without requiring extensive direction.
If you like challenges, you are passionate about renewable energy, and you are looking for a job with a meaningful impact in scaling up clean energy systems in the world while contributing to fighting climate change in a significant way, RELP will be a great fit for you!
