Mission and objectives
The mission of the Website Content Management Specialist is to ensure that the 21st Century African Youth Movement (AYM) website remains accurate, current, informative, and engaging by maintaining website content that effectively communicates the organization's programs, projects, impact, and opportunities for involvement. The volunteer will support AYM's mission of creating employment and economic opportunities for African youth by helping ensure that website visitors have access to timely, relevant, and well-organized information about the organization's activities and achievements. Objectives 1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date website content across all major sections of the AYM website. 2. Update project pages, program information, and organizational announcements. 3. Publish and format blog articles, news updates, and impact stories. 4. Upload and organize photos, videos, and multimedia content. 5. Ensure consistency in content presentation, formatting, and branding. 6. Support the promotion of youth employment, entrepreneurship, agriculture, education, technology, healthcare, and community development initiatives. 7. Collaborate with website, SEO, fundraising, and digital marketing volunteers to support AYM's digital growth strategy. 8. Improve the accessibility and organization of website information. 9. Help communicate organizational impact to volunteers, donors, partners, and stakeholders. 10. Support increased public awareness and engagement with AYM's mission and programs. Expected Impact The volunteer's work will help improve website quality, stakeholder engagement, public awareness, volunteer recruitment, fundraising efforts, and support for programs that create employment and economic opportunities for African youth.
Context
AYM continues to expand its youth employment, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and community development initiatives. To support this growth, the organization requires a volunteer who can maintain current, accurate, and engaging website content. This role will help ensure that stakeholders can easily access information about AYM's programs, projects, impact, volunteer opportunities, and fundraising campaigns.
Task description
Update project and program pages. Publish blog content. Upload photos and videos. Update organizational information. Maintain content consistency across the website. Format and organize website content. Support publication of impact stories and announcements. Coordinate with the Digital Growth Team.
