Legal Expert — Transactional / Corporate (Remote, Hourly Contract) ⚖️ Location Requirements: Canada, United Kingdom, United States Compensation: $100-$150/hour Schedule: Minimum 15 hours/week (ideally 40+) Contract Type: Independent Contractor Hiring Volume: 336 attorneys hired this month About The Role We are hiring Transactional and Corporate Attorneys to contribute to frontier AI research projects. You will design realistic deal scenarios, evaluate AI-generated outputs against established legal and commercial standards, and help shape how the next generation of AI reasons about M&A, contracts, securities, and corporate governance. This is a fully remote role with immediate start and competitive pay. What You’ll Do Deal Scenarios — Create realistic deal scenarios (M&A due diligence, SPAs/APAs, securities filings, NDAs, governance, disclosure schedules). Reference Responses — Write “golden” reference responses at attorney-level quality. Evaluation — Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics. Feedback — Provide written feedback to improve model behavior. Collaboration — Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions. You’re a Good Fit If You Experience — 1-4 years of professional experience in transactional or corporate law (law firm, in-house, or similar). Education — J.D. (U.S.) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school. Licensure — Licensed to practice law in the U.S. (active or inactive). Skills — Strong experience with contract review, due diligence, corporate governance, NDA drafting, or securities filings. Communication — Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail. Bonus Qualifications Disclosure Schedules — Experience with disclosure schedules or closing checklists. Private Equity — Exposure to private equity, venture capital, or fund formation. Securities — SEC reporting or securities offering experience. Data Rooms — Familiarity with virtual data rooms (Intralinks, Datasite, etc.).
