We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant who brings heart and skill to their work — someone who takes pride in supporting attorneys and advocating for clients every step of the way. Please Note: This is an independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance. Responsibilities: • Review new cases and provide detailed intake assessments • Support attorneys with strategy planning and case preparation • Keep case files accurate, current, and well-organized • Act as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout their case • Facilitate communication between clients and legal staff • Collaborate with outside professionals when necessary • Assist with legal research and document drafting • Offer reliable day-to-day support to the legal team Requirements: • At least 1 year of experience in a legal assistant role • Familiarity with legal processes, terminology, and documentation • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish • Highly organized with great attention to detail • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite What We Offer: • Bi-monthly pay (1st & 15th) • 40 hours per week • Long-term, remote work with growth opportunities • Salary increase after 6 months • Monthly internet subsidy • Insurance subsidy after 6 months • Monthly attendance and performance incentives Equal Opportunity Employer: Scale Up Staffing is committed to diversity, equality, and fair hiring.
