Role Description

This is a part-time fully remote role for a Legal Assistant. OT: Part-Time Legal Assistant (does not need to be local)

We are a small firm with two attorneys and we are looking for a virtual part-time legal assistant to help with one attorney who has a busy PI practice. The job duties would only include collecting medical and billing records, balance confirmations, and organizing/sorting medical records when received. Light training will be given, virtually, so not much experience is required, but you must be motivated to learn virtually and use our virtual/cloud-based system (Clio and Dropbox). You must have expertise in simple admin tasks - from requesting records via online fax and email and online systems - and be very organized, detail oriented, and be creative in putting together your own system to get records quickly and efficiently. Pay is commensurate with experience, 1099, hours are limited (maybe 5-10 hours max/week, if that). This is very part-time, not a position that will grow over time as we are a small firm and already have a paralegal that covers all our other PI needs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in legal document preparation and a strong understanding of legal processes
• exoerience in working remotely and independently
• Experience in administrative assistance and organizational skills to manage tasks and deadlines efficiently
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive legal documents
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case-management software (clio and dropbox)
