Our Maternity & Fertility Business Area delivers essential tools that support safe pregnancies, childbirth, and infancy. Fertsoft, our fertility management system, is a long‑standing, business‑critical product adopted by all university hospitals in Sweden. We are looking for a junior software developer who wants to contribute to its ongoing evolution, learn a unique technology platform, and help maintain and improve a system used in everyday clinical work. Your role: Junior software developer We are looking for a Junior software developer who is eager to learn and contribute to the continued development of Fertsoft. In this role, you will work hands‑on with both frontend and backend development, supported by experienced colleagues in a collaborative product team. What You’ll Do: Contribute hands‑on to development across backend, frontend, and integrations in the Fertsoft product Work with a specialized technology platform alongside JavaScript‑based components and surrounding services Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, Application Specialists and Product Managers. Participate in Scrum ceremonies and day‑to‑day team collaboration Learn and apply good engineering practices around quality, testing, and maintainability Use AI‑assisted development tools as part of your daily work and continue learning new technologies What You Bring to the Team: A degree in computer science or software engineering or relevant experience Hands‑on software development experience from studies, internships, or personal projects Familiarity with web technologies and interest in working across frontend and backend Experience with API development and REST services Interest in writing tested, maintainable code, and curiosity about practices such as test‑driven development (TDD) Willingness to learn new and unfamiliar technologies, including legacy platforms Bonus Skills: Experience with healthcare information systems or other regulated, safety‑critical domains. Experience with containerized deployments (e.g., Docker) and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Experience with integration standards such as HL7 and FHIR. Location & Language This role is based in our offices in in Uppsala, with the possibility to be located in our Solna or Gothenburg offices . Fluency in a Nordic language is not required, but candidates must have the legal right to work in Sweden.
