Equipment: Pixel Systems provides a remote-office allowance for computer hardware and setup. Reporting: Reports directly to the Operations Lead. Hiring steps: Initial resume review, a 45-minute structured remote interview, and a brief written project-coordination scenario exercise. About us Pixel Systems is a small, quiet remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not build flashy consumer apps, viral products, or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical, unglamorous things: admin interfaces, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients are typically operations managers and warehouse teams who need to get their software tools to talk to one another or replace complex spreadsheets with real, reliable databases. We work without drama, provide fixed-price quotes, run weekly demos, and deliver complete documentation and clean code when we are finished. Our approach is straightforward and highly developer-centric. The role As our Junior Scrum Master, you will keep our small, remote development team synchronized. We prefer working code over massive, over-engineered plans, so your task is to keep agile ceremonies simple, clean, and useful. Your day-to-day work will involve: Facilitating daily standups and tracking work items so developers can focus on writing code. Updating and maintaining project boards in Jira and documenting system requirements in Confluence. Helping remove minor operational blocks by coordinating communication between managers and developers. Scheduling weekly demo timelines and formatting progress updates so our clients are always up to date. Assembling hand-off documentation, walkthrough checklists, and release notes for our custom tools. What we need from you We are looking for someone organized, structured, and curious about how software is put together. You do not need to have managed a technical team before, but you should bring: Familiarity with Scrum and Agile patterns. Comfort using standard remote productivity platforms, including Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Notion. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex technical points clearly. High attention to detail when organizing schedules, document libraries, and project boards. Eagerness to learn how database migrations and software integrations are run. Nice to have Basic exposure to or curiosity about standard web technologies like React, Node, or Postgres databases. Any introductory agile certification, such as a Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM). Experience coordinating group work, academic projects, or volunteer team events. Working at Pixel Systems We are a senior team of engineers who value focus and quiet productivity. Working here means there are no massive corporate layers, unnecessary status-update meetings, or performative busywork. We build software that real, everyday workers use to do their jobs, and we take pride in doing that job well. Our remote culture is built around clear writing, direct communication, and respect for scheduled focus blocks. We do not expect you to work twenty-hour days; we expect you to show up, help the team coordinate, and help us ship software that works. Every person on our team plays a direct part in helping our clients run their businesses better. If you appreciate clean processes, a direct approach to project coordination, and working with software developers who care about practical details, we would be glad to review your background.
