Junior Market Research Analyst

We are adding a Junior Market Research Analyst to our fully remote team to coordinate database research. We are partnering with a Mediterranean shipping and logistics provider to layout regional cargo corridors. Because our software is rolling out across multiple southern European terminals, we are establishing a research stream to analyze harbor regulations and customs rules in France. This fully remote position helps our development team build matching operational tools.

Employment Setup

• Legal Employer: Engaged via our local Employer of Record EOR partner in France, managing tax and payroll compliantly.
• Location Eligibility: Candidates must be resident in France.
• Employment Arrangement: Fully remote role with a full-time, standard hourly schedule.
• Timezone Overlap: Active during core cooperation hours of 14:00 to 18:00 CET to allow overlap with our developers.
• Hiring Process: Profile evaluation, a brief paid research exercise, and a 30-minute conversational call with our lead developer.
• Reporting Line: Reports directly to our Operations Supervisor.
• Compensation and Equipment: This is a paid position. We provide a remote equipment program for your homeworking setup.

About the Role
You will collect shipping registry data, customs regulations, and business profiles. You do not need database design skills or developer tools. Instead, you will gather raw market databases and translate them into tidy, organized spreadsheets so our database programmers can construct databases based on correct, real-world rules.

What You Will Do

• Research port schedules, customs manuals, and regional cargo directories through public European and national databases.
• Clean and organize raw logistical data into simple, standard tables using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Identify gaps in current cargo logs and find missing shipping codes to keep our research complete.
• Summarize research findings into clean text summaries using Notion so our project engineers can read them.
• Coordinate daily with our development team to brief them on regional transport regulations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of research records, ensuring all activities comply with EU GDPR rules.

What You Need to Have

• Existing legal residency in France with active right-to-work status.
• Comfortable sorting raw data pools, using typical spreadsheet tools, filters, and sorting formulas.
• Systematic research habits, with a focus on cross-checking data files to remove errors or duplicate inputs.
• Good written English skills to compile readable reports for our developers.
• Eager to learn simple collaboration tools like Notion, Slack, and basic database coordinates.
• Committed to handled customer data securely, using only approved public sources and following clear compliance guidelines.
