About the Role We are looking for a technically minded, community-driven Junior Esports Coordinator to join the Realityjam studio team as an apprentice, supporting the growth of competitive play around 5th Dimension. This is a fully remote, paid apprenticeship offering structured training and a clear progression pathway within the studio. In this role, you will plan and manage esports events and tournaments for 5th Dimension's competitive player community, working closely with the development and marketing teams to ensure competitive play remains a compelling part of the game experience. You’ll also participate directly in product management for the game's PvP feature set and help guide the design of the game in relation to the pvp / esports use case. The role comprises elements of technical art and 3D design (art), working with Unity and various other 3D and asset creation tools, as we believe that the best way to manage games is to understand how to make them. About 5th Dimension 5th Dimension is a multiplayer online game built in Unity, featuring rich world-building, interconnected systems, and a growing community of players. The project is being developed by the Realityjam studio in partnership with 5th Dimension Games Ltd. For more information, check out the game’s official website - www.5thdimension.gg Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and run online tournaments and competitive events for 5th Dimension. Manage registrations, brackets, scheduling, and results using tournament platforms. Engage with the player community across Discord, social media, and streaming platforms. Work with the development and live ops teams to align competitive events with game updates. Produce post-event reports tracking participation, engagement, and community feedback. Draft communications, rules documents, and promotional copy for competitive events. Identify and help develop community talent for ambassador and caster roles. Identify and plan new game features to integrate PvP mechanics into the core game and participate in technical design/project management to produce these features. During the apprenticeship you will undertake an intensive course of study focused on 3D art, game design and game content creation. The course is rigorous and intensive and will require a degree of technical aptitude and capability relating to the operation of software applications such as Blender and Unity. Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years of documented experience coordinating esports events or competitive gaming programmes, in a professional or substantive community capacity. Proven ability to manage online tournaments using platforms such as Battlefy, Challonge, Toornament, or equivalent. Strong written communication skills with experience engaging gaming communities online. Experience with streaming platforms and stream management (Twitch, YouTube) and broadcast or production basics. Demonstrable experience managing Discord servers or similar community platforms. Experience with community-focused marketing campaign activation and management via Steam, Discord and social media. Experience creating social media content in a gaming or esports context. Background in data tracking and reporting on community engagement metrics. Experience competing in or managing teams within multiplayer or competitive games. Remuneration & Working Hours Base salary: £17,000 per annum. Quarterly performance bonus: up to £5,000 per annum, giving potential annual earnings of up to £22,000. Hours: 30 hours per week — Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (GMT/BST).
