At Orbital Paradigm, we design, develop, manufacture, and operate reusable orbital logistics systems. Our spacecraft perform multiple orbital mission profiles and return safely to Earth through hypersonic atmospheric reentry and landing with pinpoint accuracy for rapid refurbishment and reuse. Role Description We are looking for an intern to support the selection of integration materials and processes of the Thermal Protection System — TPS — of our re-entry spacecraft. The role will involve hands-on participation in the testing, design, and integration of the TPS for our second mission " Learn to Fly". Key Responsibilities Plan, design and execute test campaigns Define testing procedures Support in TPS integration design and protocol definition Execute TPS integration tests Analysis and post processing of results Support TPS integration quality assurance Required Qualifications Studies in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace Engineering or a similar field. Basic knowledge of manufacturing through student rocketry, formula student, or similar engineering student activities Hands-on experience in mechanical parts integration and testing Hands-on experience in composite manufacturing processes. Knowledge of mechanical testing of materials and analysis of test results. Critical thinking, autonomy, and attention to detail. Ability to write clear technical documentation, procedures, reports, review material, and test records. Full proficiency in English, written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications Sound knowledge of adhesive bonding Experience with bonded joints, composite structures or sandwich panels. Experience in Formula student, rocketry teams or similar hands-on engineering projects.
