About the Role Integration / Platform Engineers are the architects of system connectivity within the Digital Support & AI organization. They ensure that all platforms like Salesforce, Zendesk, AWS Connect, knowledge systems, AI pipelines, and data stores are reliably integrated and talking to each other. This role is foundational: without well-built integrations, AI agents can't access knowledge, automation flows can't trigger correctly, and analytics can't receive accurate data. Platform Engineers build and maintain the infrastructure that makes everything else work. What You Will Do Design, build, and maintain integrations between core platforms: Salesforce, Zendesk, AWS Connect, and AI/knowledge systems Develop and maintain data pipelines that move knowledge content, case data, and AI outputs between systems Implement authentication, access control, and security standards across integrated systems Partner with AI Engineers to ensure AI agents have reliable, low-latency access to knowledge retrieval APIs Collaborate with Automation Engineers to ensure automation workflows have the system connections they need Monitor integration health, data pipeline reliability, and system performance and resolve issues proactively Manage API versioning, dependency tracking, and middleware configurations Contribute to platform architecture documentation and integration standards Support troubleshooting and incident response for integration-related system failures What We Are Looking For Required Experience & Qualifications 4+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems integration, or backend software development Strong experience with REST APIs for enterprise system integrations Hands-on experience with CRM platforms: Salesforce and/or Zendesk Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and middleware in multi-system environments Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, Connect, etc.) is strongly preferred Experience with authentication frameworks (OAuth, SAML) and API security best practices Skills & Competencies APIs and middleware: designing and implementing REST integrations between enterprise systems CRM integration: Salesforce, Zendesk, and AWS Connect integration patterns and best practices Data pipelines: building reliable pipelines for knowledge, case, and AI data flows Cloud infrastructure: AWS services relevant to support and AI platform connectivity Monitoring and reliability: proactive system health monitoring and incident response for integration layers Documentation: maintaining integration maps, API docs, and system dependency records Core Attributes Reliability-focused: builds systems that work consistently, not just on the first try Systematic: designs integrations that are maintainable, not just functional Collaborative: works effectively with AI engineers, automation engineers, and platform leadership Proactive: monitors systems and identifies risks before they become incidents Detail-oriented: tracks dependencies, versions, and configurations with care Benefits Career growth opportunities in a diverse and supportive work environment.
